Over the last few days the staff have been very busy with various training. On Monday the support staff received training in de-escalation strategies and intimate care. The teaching staff attended a day full of Science workshops including astrobiology, molecule building, computer coding spheros, chemical reactions, Science X Factor and science ceilidhs. Watch the class blogs for some of these ideas being put into practice.
Yesterday, the teaching staff discussed individual research around differentiation. We then completed a walk to further familiarise ourselves with learning possibilities in the local environment whilst also working to create key assessment tasks together.
In the afternoon, they completed training from Education Scotland around mathematics and numeracy and benchmarks recently published for these areas.
